Forest School

Forest School

On our grounds we offer the opportunity for the children to connect with the nature through our forest school. All classes attend our fantastic Forest School every week.

There are many benefits to attending a forest school, including:

  • Improved physical health: Children who attend forest schools tend to be more active and have better physical fitness than children who do not attend forest schools.
  • Increased social skills: Children who attend forest schools learn to cooperate, work together, and resolve conflicts.
  • Enhanced emotional development: Children who attend forest schools learn to manage their emotions, build resilience, and develop a positive self-image.
  • Improved cognitive skills: Children who attend forest schools develop their problem-solving skills, creativity, and observational skills.
  • Stronger connection with nature: Children who attend forest schools develop a love of nature and a sense of respect for the environment.

Children need to make sure that they are dressed appropriately as we go throughout the year, no matter what the weather!

They should have:

  • Long sleeved top and long trousers (to avoid insect bites (especially ticks) scratches and stings).
  • A sun hat (if it is sunny).
  • As the weather gets colder children will need lots of layers, socks, gloves, hats and scarves.
  • Jeans should not be worn as denim becomes very uncomfortable and heavy to wear if it gets wet.
