Currently we have spaces in Reception, Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. Please contact the school office for a tour of the school. We look forward to welcoming you to our school.


Joining Longworth 

Choosing a primary school for your child is a hugely important decision.  If you have any questions that we can help answer, please don't hesitate to get in touch.  We would also be delighted if you wish to come visit.  Either way, please contact the School Office (contact details below) and ask for an opportunity to speak with our Headteacher.

Admissions are administered on our behalf by Oxfordshire County Council: Oxfordshire County Council admissions.  For more information read our ADMISSIONS POLICY. 


Applications for September 2027

Parents of children born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023  who will be starting school in September 2027, Oxfordshire County Council offer online admission applications here.

Key Dates - Primary Schools - September 2027


  • 3rd November 2026 - Applications open
  • 15th January 2027 - Closing date for applications
  • 16th April 2027 – National Offer Day: offer letters sent by second-class post where needed and emails sent to those who applied online
  • 30th April 2027 - Closing date for late or amended applications.  Closing date to respond to offers made on 16th April and to join continued interests list
  • September 2027- Start of academic year for the Reception year group

  • 11th September 2026 - Applications open.
  • 31st October 2026- Closing date for applications.
  • 1st March 20267- National offer day: look online, receive email and letters are sent out by second class post where needed.
  • 15th March 2027 - Deadline for parents to respond to offer.
  • September 2027 - Start of the school year.

Appealing for a school place / appeals procedure

Please see the Oxfordshire County Council website for full details on appeals. You may wish to appeal for a place if you have not been offered a place for your child in the school you wish them to attend.
